ANTHONY JUPP was left to rue a plethora of missed chances, insisting Horley Town created "40 goal-scoring opportunities" in their draw at Guildford City on Saturday.
The Clarets drew 3-3 with fellow strugglers Guildford but Jupp believes a 15-3 scoreline would have been a better reflection of the Combined Counties league encounter.
"I'm not happy with that draw at all and it probably took me the rest of the weekend to come to terms with it," the joint-boss said. "I don't think I've ever been involved in a Combined Counties game where a side has created that many chances, but we just didn't put them away.
"Ashley Nadesan is the top scorer in the division, and if he had put away even half his chances on Saturday we would have been out of sight.
"If we had won the game 15-3 I don't think there would have been many complaints from Guildford. It's not even that their goalkeeper was really good; we were missing chances from two yards out."
However, Jupp was pleased with the performances of Ayden Richards and John Eldred, who, along with Nadesan, scored Horley's goals.
"Ayden played really, really well. He was one of two players who stood out for me, along with John Eldred. It was John's first game back after a serious knee injury and he controlled things in central midfield," said Jupp.
Horley travel to 16th-placed Westfield on Saturday, and Jupp is hoping his side can change their recent form around.
"Westfield have been playing well and are on a good run," he said. "It seems like every team down the bottom has had a good little run at some point apart from us, who can't buy a win. Hopefully we can change that."
