HORLEY Ladies boosted their hopes of avoiding relegation with a draw. It has been a difficult season but they have remained resolute as the squad, comprising new and returning players, improves week by week.
Rachel Brooks and George Mutton secured the draw with right-half Cat Peatfield providing the inspiration for both goals.
Marcia Burns made a confident debut, despite not having played for several years.
A hard-earned point brings Horley equal with Croydon and Old Whitgiftian II and both will face each other in a final game of the season in March, when hopefully Horley will be out of the relegation zone.
