PLANS to relocate an Esher school have attracted widespread concern over access.
Cranmere Primary School, in The Drive, could move to a new site on Green Belt land to the south of its existing location, under Surrey County Council (SCC) plans.
But residents living along planned access routes to the new school have said they are not happy with the proposals.
At a consultation meeting held at the school in November concern was raised about the use of Arran Way as the main access point.
Residents in Douglas Road have also expressed concern over the level of traffic that will be generated.
Other concerns included pedestrian access from Blair Avenue.
Some 81 parents and local residents attended the consultation exhibition on November 21.
In total 44 response forms were com pleted with at least 19 respondents expressing concern about the effect of parking and access on Arran Way.
Surrey Highways has said traffic surveys were carried out, but some parents feel its results are not accurate.
SCC said many of the responses to the consultation were in overall favour of the plans, although highways issues were the main points of disagreement.
It comes after SCC and the school's governing body announced plans to double the yearly intake to 120 places from September 2014.
This would increase the school's capacity to 630 pupils along with a 26 place nursery, necessitating a £500,000 rebuild.
A decision on whether to go ahead with the proposal is expected to be made by the county council on January 15. Any decision will be subject to planning permission.
