Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs has become the most popular pantomime in a decade for Epsom Playhouse.

The production, which finished its run last Sunday, proved to be a huge hit with audiences.

Over 13,500 people went to see the panto during the festive season, with a 30% increase in revenue over last year.

Channel Four presenter Bryn Lucus starred in the production alongside up and coming actress Charlotte Steen, who is a student at Laine Theatre Arts.

Councillor Jan Mason, Chairman of the Leisure Committee, said: "It just shows that in these difficult times, we all need some light hearted fun!"

"It is nice to note that there was an increase in the number of family groups attending the evening performances".

The 2013 season is now up and running at the Epsom Playhouse with comedians Harry Hill and Lee Hurst headlining in the next few months.
