A SUPERCAR formerly owned by football star Cristiano Ronaldo is up for sale in Mole Valley.
The Porsche 911 convertible is available for £37,995 at Mole Valley Specialist Cars in Horsham Road, Capel, after it was bought from a dealership in Lincolnshire.
The car has only had two previous owners, the first of whom was the Real Madrid player, who bought it in 2007 and sold it in 2008 before his £80 million move from Manchester United.
Chris Chadwick, director of Mole Valley Specialist Cars, said: "We have had lots of phone calls about it but nothing more than that just yet.
"But we aren't worried about selling it at all, because it's a beautiful car and it has that added star value.
"The last owner was a doctor up north and before that it was Ronaldo. You can see his name and former address on the logbook, which is very exciting."
He added: "It is priced for what it is, not because one of the best footballers in the world owned it. Although I have to say that he kept it in amazing condition."
The Carrera 2 Tiptronic S has a 3.8-litre engine, with 355bhp allowing acceleration of 0 to 62mph in 5.4 seconds, and a top speed of 177mph.
Mr Chadwick says this is not the first car with star value he has had up for sale. "We do not go looking for vehicles that have been owned by superstars," he said. "But we deal in great cars and they attract people with money, which celebrities for the most part have.
"For example, we recently sold Richard Hammond's Morgan Aeromax for £100,000, as his father who lives in Fetcham gets his car serviced here all the time."
He added: "There is certainly a market for these cars in Mole Valley. To be honest we sell toys, not cars, because the majority of our customers don't buy a car because they need something to get around.
"They just need a toy to play with at the weekend because they already own a Range Rover and the wife has a Volkswagen Golf.
"You can't beat having Ronaldo's car as a toy to show off to your friends. It's very good in the namedropping stakes."
