RICHARD BRADY has revealed that Tom Bradbrook is likely to be out for a month.
The big striker went down clutching his ankle at the end of a fine win at league leaders Maidstone United on Saturday and while preliminary scans have shown no break, ligament damage could keep him out of action for the next month.
His boss said: "We're waiting for the doctor to see him. It's not broken or fractured, we think it's ligament damage so we're probably looking three to four weeks, maybe a month and that's a big miss for us.
"It was a chance [on Tuesday night] for some people to show me what they were about, I haven't shown what I was about and I don't think anyone else has so it's back to the drawing board with that one."
The Tanners blew the Ryman League Division One South title race wide open by beating Maidstone in front of 1,800 people on Saturday and they rounded off a good week by reaching the quarter-finals of the Surrey Senior Cup with a hard-fought triumph over Lingfield.
Brady added: "We've got players who are not going to be fazed by playing in front of 2,000, they'll thrive on it and they did, but it's a case of what happens next week when we're not in front to 2,000.
"The players are always going to be up for that and we know we can go on and keep winning games. We respected them because they're top of the league, but we knew we could win the game and the stats will bear it out that we were by far the better team.
"There's a belief in the camp, to go to Maidstone and win has got to breed confidence."
