ELECTRICAL supply problems between Gatwick and Purley caused significant delays for Surrey passengers using Southern rail services on Sunday.
Passengers going to Redhill, Merstham, Salfords and Horley were delayed for up to an hour and a half throughout the afternoon because of signal failures.
A Spokeswoman for Southern Railway said it was using just two out of six lines usually available.
Network Rail is trying to resolve the problem but it is likely to continue into Sunday evening.
