A MAN in his 20s died at the scene of a multi-vehicle crash this morning.
The crash happened on the A217 at Sidlow, close to the junction with Ironsbottom, shortly before 8am.
A black BMW car and a red Honda motorcycle were involved in the initial collision and several other vehicles also collided into them.
The rider of the motorcycle, a man in his 20s, was pronounced dead at the scene. Their next of kin have been informed. Police said they believed no-one else had been injured as a result of the crash.
The road is currently closed while emergency crews attend the scene and collision investigators carry out enquiries.
