A man has been charged with attempting to shoot another man on Epsom Downs.
Gary Simmons, 43 of Chipstead, appeared at Redhill Magistrate's Court charged with possession of an imitation fireman with intent to cause fear of violence.
Mr Simmons has been granted conditional bail and will appear at Guildford Crown Court on March 14th.
He was arrested following an incident on Epsom Downs on Tuesday when armed police were called to the scene.
A manhunt followed until Wednesday evening when Mr Simmons was arrested.
