MOTORISTS have been urged to avoid a section of the M25 this evening following an incident which has closed two lanes.
There are severe delays anti-clockwise between junction 8 (Reigate Hill) and junction 5 (Sevenoaks), due to two lanes being closed in the roadworks between junction 6 (Godstone) and junction 5 (Sevenoaks).
The incident, which happened just before 2.30pm, involved a lorry and a car. Recovery is expected to take some time as the lorry is stuck on the verge.
Delays of over two hours have been reported with queues beyond junction 8. The Highways Agency has advised drivers to find alternative routes.
Areas around Caterham and Warlingham are becoming snarled up as a result.
