POLICE have released CCTV images of two men they want to speak to about a string of bike thefts at train stations.
Officers are looking for information into two thefts from Redhill station and one at Merstham station which occurred between November 2012 and January 2013.
On November 28, 2012, a 16-year-old boy left his black hybrid-style road bike secured at Merstham station, Station Road, at around 10.30am.
When he returned at 7.30pm, the bike had been taken.
The following day, at Redhill Station, Redstone Hill, a Giant Defy 2 road bike was left secured to the racks at 6.30am, but both the bike and the lock were gone when the owner returned at 5.20pm.
Finally on January 30, 2013, a red Cannondale SL3 model bike, with red, white and black writing on it, was locked at Redhill Station at around 6.55am, but was reported missing when the owner returned at 4.45pm.
Detective Sergeant Bob Stokoe, from the British Transport Police, said: "We are looking into three bicycle thefts over recent months, and as part of our enquiries have obtained CCTV images of two men we believe have key information.
"If you know the men, or their whereabouts, then please get in touch."
Police advise all riders to register their bikes at www.bikeregister.com, and ensure the it is locked to a solid object in a well-lit, recognised bike storage area, with a solid lock passed through the wheel and the frame.
