AN AWARD-WINNING choir has raised more than £1,000 to help elderly people stay in their own home. Vocal Dimension, an all-female choir based in Redhill, held a special concert on March 23 at Redhill Methodist Church in support of MHA Live at Home. The snow on the ground did not stop the group's Sounds of Spring event at the Gloucester Road church, which also featured renditions on the harp and a duet from choir members Valerie Taylor and Emma Duguid, under the name Elle Vivo. The choir opened and closed the evening - receiving a standing ovation from the capacity crowd. Choir member Claire Miskin said: "The evening was a complete success, raising over £1000 for the charity. "There was an overwhelming response from audience members. [We] are very grateful to those who came to support the event and helped make it such a success." MHA Live at Home provides in house care for elderly people allowing them to remain in their own house. For information visit www.vocaldimension.co.uk
