Hedgehog Hunt
Local wildlife photographer, Alannah Hawker, is currently seeking residents help in tracking sightings of hedgehogs, and their only predator, badgers, within the Merstham area, It is known that hedgehog numbers are declining at an alarming rate in the UK, in fact at a rate akin to the worldwide decline of tigers. She is committed to helping restore their presence in the village, and to that aim is requesting information from members of the community as to recent sightings, including the destination, and date of each. Even details of spottings in the past few years would be helpful to the project.

Newton FC 60th
This year Merstham Newton Football Club celebrate sixty years on the local football scene, and to commemorate this landmark are holding a dinner and dance at The Reigate Manor Hotel, Reigate Hill, on Friday May 17, at which players end of season presentations will be made. Tickets for the function are £30 each, to include a three course meal,
