TITLE chasing Redhill saw their match at Hailsham Town abandoned last night (Wednesday) due to heavy snow.
The score was 0-0 at thime when the decision was made to abandon the game during the first half, with Redhill manager Mike Maher describing it as "the right call."
"It was unbelievably heavy," he said.
"It was thick snow and you couldn't see the lines, so it was the right decision by the officials."
It was the third time that the fixture had fallen foul of the weather though, with the game now rescheduled for Tuesday, April 16.
And Maher said it meant another long midweek trip for his side, who are still in the hunt for promotion.
The Reds were boosted, however, by the news that title rivals Peacehaven & Telscombe slipped to a 2-1 defeat at Pagham last night.
That means the Reds are just one point behind the leaders, having played one game more.
But Maher insists that the title race is far from over, with nine games to go for the Reds.
He said: "People can't make a judgement on this league until it is mathematically certain.
"I don't think any team has been consistent enough each week."
Redhill travel to face Selsey on Saturday, looking to avenge a 3-0 defeat at Kiln Brow back in December.
Elsewhere, Lingfield will host Shoreham at Godstone Road on Saturday, buoyed by a 4-0 win against Uckfield last night (Tuesday).
Scott Simpson netted a hat-trick for the hosts, with Nicky Forster completing the rout as Dixie Dean's side made it eight games unbeaten.
The result moved Lingfield to within one point of local rivals East Grinstead Town in eighth, with one game in hand.
