DORKING Rugby Club are a step closer to winning promotion after Staines pulled out of their scheduled fixture this afternoon (Saturday).
The two sides had been due to meet at the Big Field in a top versus bottom clash, but Dorking have reported on their club website that "regrettably Staines have pulled out of the fixture."
That means Dorking will pick up five points, which edges them closer to winning the National League Three London title with two games to play.
The Red & Whites still have to face Tring and CS Rugby 1863 away from home in their remaining fixtures, while Dorking's title rivals Bishop's Stortford are in action this afternoon at home to Westcliff.
