PLANS to temporarily relocate the Dorking branch of Waitrose have been delayed by a month. The supermarket chain had originally planned to open a temporary store in High Street on Wednesday, April 17, for just over a year while the South Street premises are redeveloped. However, the start of the project has been delayed until May 15 owing to the company which was preparing the temporary store going in to administration. Branch manager Andy Hunn told the Advertiser: "I'd firstly like to thank everybody for their patience and understanding after the sad news that S Dudley & Sons has filed for administration. "I'm pleased to announce that there will only be a short delay to our relocation to our temporary High Street home on Thursday May 16, with our last day of trading at South Street on Wednesday May 15. "We have appointed RG Group to complete the conversion of the High Street units and transform them into a Waitrose shop and our new temporary home."
