ARMED police and a helicopter were scrambled to Caterham following report a man had made threats to kill.
At around 5.30pm yesterday National Police Air Service helicopter, and armed response unit, CID, uniformed and neighbourhood officers responded to the call in Caterham on the Hill.
It followed reports a man had threatened to kill another man, who it is believed he knew.
A road closure was put in place as officers searched the area.
A 43-year-old man from Caterham was arrested on suspicion of making threats to kill and is currently in police custody.
A Surrey Police spokesman said: "Surrey Police would like to thank the local community for their patience while officers were responding to this incident."
