AN ORANGE tractor was swiped in an overnight raid at a village sports club.
Surrey Police has today appealed for information following the theft of the tractor from the centre in Woodmansterne Street, Woodmansterne, which happened overnight between Sunday April 7 and Monday April 8.
Investigating officer Detective Constable Dale Brunt from East Surrey CID, said: "The tractor is a distinctive orange colour and I believe someone will know its whereabouts or have other information on the theft which will help officers find those responsible.
"I would appeal to anyone who can assist us with this investigation to contact Surrey Police or the independent charity Crimestoppers."
A quantity of red diesel was also stolen before the offenders left in the vehicle in the direction of Croydon Lane.
The tractor is described as an orange Kubota Torro 216.
