POLICE, fire and ambulance crews are on the scene of a car crash in Ranmore Road, Dorking.
A yellow Volkswagen Beetle was involved in the collision, which occurred near Dorking West railway station and St Martin's School shortly before 9am on Friday (April 19).
The driver and sole occupant of the vehicle, a man in his 70s, was treated at the scene by paramedics from South East Coast Ambulance service for injuries sustained in the collision before being taken to East Surrey Hospital for treatment to head injuries.
Road closures are currently in place in the area while emergency crews attend the scene and an investigation into the cause of the collision is carried out.
