Detectives have released still photos of CCTV footage from a robbery at a bookmakers in Epsom.

The robbery took place at around 9:20pm on Monday 18th March at the Betfred on Epsom High Street.

The men managed to leave the store with a large quantity of cash.

Detectives hope that releasing the images will encourage members of the public to come forward with information.

Investigating officer Detective Constable Laura Chambers from East Surrey CID, said: "This incident occurred during the evening in a town centre location and we are hopeful that by releasing this CCTV that someone may realise that they have information relating to the offence which could assist with our investigation.

"A number of people have used social media to talk about this incident and we have made attempts to contact them to see if they witnessed any part of the robbery, unfortunately some people haven't got back in touch and I would urge those people to contact us."

It is believed the men arrived and left the scene in a white Ford Connect van and officers would like to speak to anyone who saw this vehicle being driven in suspicious circumstances in the area around the time of the offence.

Two men were arrested in connection with this incident on suspicion of robbery but have since been eliminated from the investigation.

Anyone who has information on this offence is urged to contact Surrey Police on 101 quoting reference EP/13/1182 or the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
