Police have formally identified the man who died following a serious collision on the M25 last week.
The man has been named as Nahinmu Okafor Nicholas, 53, a Nigerian national who was living in Dartford, Kent.
An inquest into the death has been opened and adjourned.
The collision took place shortly before 4.30am on Wednesday, April 10 when a blue Ford Focus stopped in one of the live lanes of the motorway with its lights off.
One of the occupants then left the vehicle and was walking along the hard shoulder when a white Renault lorry collided with the stationary Ford Focus before colliding with the pedestrian.
The other occupant of the Ford Focus suffered minor injuries.
Police want to speak to anyone who either witnessed the collision or the events leading up to the incident.
