A WOMAN has been taken to hospital following a blaze which completely destroyed the ground floor of her Reigate home.
Around 20 firefighters from Reigate, Horley, Epsom and Godstone went to the Atherfield Road home at 5.57am on Saturday morning and spent two hours tackling it.
One of four fire engines which attended is still at the scene, along with officers investigating the cause.
The blaze completely burnt through the ground floor and there was 50 per cent damage to the first floor.
Nobody was trapped but firefighters called ambulance crews to help the woman living there and she has been taken to East Surrey Hospital.
A spokesman for South East Coast Ambulance Service confirmed she had been treated at the scene but her injuries are not thought to be serious.
