SUNLIGHT reflected off a mirror is believed to have caused a fire in an Oxted house this morning.
Shortly after 9.30 am fire crews were called to the home on Uvedale Road, Oxted, following reports of a fire in one of the bedroom and people trapped inside.
Three crews, from Oxted, Godstone and one from Horsham attended the scene and tackled the flames with hose reels and breathing apparatus.
No one was inside the house when crews arrived and no one was injured in the fire.
The bedroom, where the fire began, was damaged but the flames did not spread to any other part of the house.
Firefighters believe the fire was started by sunlight reflected off a mirror.
