Car Boot Sales

Car Boot Sales are being held in the playing fields in Whitehall Lane on Sundays,June 2, 9, 23, 30,July 7, 21, 28 and August 4, 18 and 25.Prices will be Cars £10, Vans £12, and Trailers an additional £2.Gates open for boots at 7am and for the public at 9am.Refreshments will be available.

Music Festival

The Reigate and Redhill Music and Drama Festival, which had been held recently in various venues throughout the Borough including Reigate Park Church and Reigate Baptist Church, culminated on May 23, with the Grand Gala Concert at the Harlequin Theatre in Redhill at 7.30pm. The concert featured some of the best performances from all the different disciplines represented in the Festival including a cadet band with three bagpipers, a performance of the slow movement of Shostakovich's 2nd Piano Concerto with a professional orchestra, and two choirs. A Piano  Masterclass was held in the Reigate Grammar School Recital Room on Saturday, May 25 at 7.30pm. Pianist Timothy Barratt gave short recital and then gave expert advice to five pianists who played their chosen pieces to him.

Short Mat Bowls

The Reigate Park Short Mat Bowls club has just finished playing in the Winter Sussex league bowls matches and finished one position better than previously, coming fifth out of six! The club members will continue to play during the summer months on Mondays and Tuesdays from 2 – 4.30pm in Reigate Park church hall. They would welcome new members and the club is able to provide bowls for anyone who doesn't have their own.

Sandcross School

Sandcross children enjoyed a restful day on May 24, while their teachers hold an INSET day, and then half term follows next week. This week Sports Days were organized for Key Stage 2 on Tuesday, Early Years on Wednesday and Key Stage 1 on Thursday. School re-opens after Half Term on Monday, June 3.

Woodhatch Centre

On May 22 members from Woodhatch Centre had a planned day out, starting off in Brighton for coffee and leisure time and then heading off to the Greyhound racing track for lunch and afternoon entertainment. This trip was the first of the season, the next being a trip to Eastbourne on  June 12 followed by Herstmonceux castle on July 3, Waddeson Manor on August 7 and Worthing on  August 28. Some of these outings still have a few places available to book with just a £3 deposit.
