REIGATE Priory Cricket Club president Andrew Packham says he is hopeful that the club will be in a position to proceed with their Vision 2020 plans later this year.
Priory are currently working hard to progress the most significant and wide ranging investment campaign in the club's 160-year history, which will see the pavilion redeveloped, among many other changes.
Also as part of the scheme, the club intends to deliver a series of infrastructure projects to help increase participation and the availability of sport for the people of Reigate.
And following a recent youth presentation night at the club, Packham said he is hopeful of getting the green light for the full redevelopment by September.
He said: "We would anticipate that phase one (ground fill) will take place this coming September, but if fundraising goes well, we hope to press the button for the full redevelopment at that time.
"We are hoping that events over the next two months will help enable us to do that, but it is dependent on applications and the fundraising.
"We are very pleased with the support we have had from all areas at the moment, but we are looking to kick on."
One of the events is the return of the Lashings World XI on Friday, July 26, with Packham adding that after that, there would be the "final push".
