A MAN who collapsed in Cobham in the early hours of Sunday morning whilst speaking to police officers died as a result of coronary heart disease, a post-mortem examination has found. The man, who was in his 50s, was pronounced dead at 2.45am in Anyards Road after he was stopped by officers following a large fight which broke out in Hamilton Avenue between two large groups of people. Witnesses said between 10 and 20 people, some armed with baseball bats, were involved in the fight, which police were called to at 1.30am. Surrey Police spokesman James Baker said: "The man has yet to be formally identified but his next of kin have been informed. "A man in his 40s who was arrested on suspicion of manslaughter and a man in his late teens who was arrested on suspicion of assault have both been released on bail until September 13 while the investigation continues. "The man in his 20s who was arrested yesterday on suspicion of affray has also been released on bail pending further enquiries. "Surrey Police is continuing to carry out a thorough and extensive investigation to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident and further updates will follow in due course."
