THINGS are slowly getting back to normal for commuters in Dorking and Leatherhead this morning after a signal failure resulted in all trains being cancelled.
Trains operated by Southern and South West Trains were affected,
At 9.09am, South West Trains announced: "A signalling problem is causing disruption at Dorking. The problem has now been fixed and trains are able to run.
"However, journeys between Dorking and Epsom may be delayed by up to 30 minutes while services return to normal. These delays will continue until further notice."
Angry commuters took to Twitter to vent their anger at the service breakdown.
At 9.38am, @ficklefisher wrote: "New commuting time lateness record of 2.25 hours due to signalling problems at Dorking."
@JuliaMUNDAY wrote: "Public transport is a joke, all trains to Dorking cancelled."

On the road, there are currently 'stop-go' boards and roadworks on Hart Road in Dorking between the Ansell Road and the Wathen Road junctions.
