THE Skull Cracker fugitive prisoner will appear in Redhill Magistrates' Court today.
Michael Wheatley, 55, is accused of carrying out an armed robbery on the Chelsea Building Society, Sunbury-on-Thames, while on the run from jail.
He is alleged to have carried out the crime after escaping from Standford Hill open prison on the Isle of Sheppey in Kent.
He was arrested in Tower Hamlets, East London, at 2pm on Wednesday, hours after the alleged robbery.
He will appear at Redhill Magistrates' Court charged with robbery, possession of a firearm or imitation firearm and being unlawfully at large.
Kevin Perry, 53, of West India Dock Road in east London, will appear alongside Wheatley, charged with assisting an offender, perverting the course of justice and handling stolen goods.
