THE Royal Air Force, Surrey County Council and Santander Consumer Finance were among the businesses which spoke to young job-seekers at a special careers event.
East Surrey College hosted the event on May 14, which gave students and members of the public a chance to meet businesses in the area which are currently recruiting.
Business representatives gave advice on opportunities and how to apply for jobs.
Workshops were held throughout the day and there were mock interviews with business leaders.
Dave Warnes, the college's associate director of business development, added: "This has given the students a fantastic opportunity to build their confidence and develop skills businesses are looking for. It was great to have hundreds of jobs and apprenticeships on offer."
