A FIRE "completely destroyed" a bowls pavilion in Reigate in the early hours of Thursday morning.
Firefighter Tipping, of Reigate Fire Station, told the Mirror his team was called to the fire at Churchfields Bowls Club in Church Walk at 2.30am.
"It was engulfed in flames from one end right to the other. It seemed to have a thatched roof and has been gutted and is completely destroyed.
"We were there for about five hours before a team from Epsom Fire Station arrived on scene to relieve us.
"They are still there carrying out an investigation into the fire to try and determine a cause, which we are uncertain of at this point."
