CATERHAM School's U14 Girls tennis team have been crowned second best team in Surrey.
The team had reached the play-offs by defeating Woldingham, Croydon High and Reigate Grammar.
In the semi-final on June 20 they defeated St George's Weybridge winning all three rounds.
Their opponents in the final were St Catherine's Bramley.
St Catherine's started very strongly racing to a 4-2 lead by the end of the second round meaning that the Caterham team had to win every match in the third round. At the end of the second match the scores were level at 4-4 but, in the last match, St Catherine's 2nd pair just overcame the Caterham 3rd pair to secure victory.
Head of girls games Nat Lomas said: "I was very impressed by the whole team. They had played so well to reach the final and showed great character to come back in the third round and come so close to securing victory.
They are to be congratulated for winning the silver medals."
