A major fire has destroyed the roof of a local rugby club.
Firefighters are still at the Old Reigatian RFC club on Geoffrey Knight Fields in Park Lane, Reigate and the area has been cordoned off.
Eight pumps and two water carriers attended the scene at aout 3.30am this morning after reports of flames and smoke coming from the building.
There are currently no reports as to what started the fire but according to officers it started at the rear of the club house before spreading to other parts of the building.
A notice on the club website says: "There has been a fire at the clubhouse. The whole area is being treated as a crime scene; can we ask all members to stay AWAY until the Police and Fire service have done their job."
