HIGH wire fun and canine skills made Bletchingley Fair go with a swing.
About 1,200 people converged on Grange Meadow on Sunday for the annual event, which got underway with a procession to the site by the Bletchingley May queen cortege.
The arena act which really stole the hearts of visitors during the afternoon was a display by the Southern Golden Retriever Society.
Sixteen dogs performed co-ordinated routines to music, an act which has previously been performed at Crufts and on Blue Peter.
There was also maypole dancing by pupils from St Catherine's Primary School, a display of classic cars and music from the 4TF Brass Quintet. Bernie Bennett presented a comedy tightrope act.
Martin Booth, one of the fair's organisers, said: "It was a superb day.
"One of the main beneficiaries of the eventual proceeds will be the village's Christmas party for about 70 senior citizens.
"We also support the Last Chance Animal Rescue centre in Edenbridge."
Lucy White, of Salfords, ran the Lucy Made Me stall, selling handmade gifts and accessories for the home.
She said: "It was a really good and well-attended event, although we had a little rain.
"There were lots of events, and it was a very enjoyable day."
