Meyer takes four wickets as Banstead II secure win over Epsom

Banstead II achieved a much needed win against Epsom. Epsom were bowled out in 50 overs with Tyler Meyer taking 4-62, and Josh Gillam 3-50. Banstead raced to the required total in 43 overs, with 63 from Darshan Chohan and 63 from Will Chaloner. Banstead III enjoyed a comprehensive win against local rivals Cheam. After losing the toss and being asked to bat first, Banstead racked up 324 for the loss of just three wickets before declaring after 41.3 overs. Jamie Stainer scored his maiden league century (116) and was well supported by Stef Wood (81) and Billy Yeats (42). The task was always likely to prove too much for Cheam, especially after losing early wickets to Banstead's new ball pair of James Mann (2-15) and Jack Lancefield (3-12). Paul Fisher was the only Cheam batsman to reach double figures (30) before his side were all out for 63 in 32.2 overs. Banstead IV remains top of the table after an excellent win against Addiscombe. Setting a target of only 139 (Sowe 47no) Banstead bowled Addiscombe out for 86 in 25.5 overs, with Matt Brightwell taking 6-32 in 13 overs. The Academy won their Surrey Trust league fixture on Sunday by six wickets against Stoke D'Abernon, chasing down a total of 174. The Banstead Rams won their ECB NatWest U19 T20 match against the SRK Hurricanes by 103 runs. Banstead totalled 176 in their 20 overs, with Captain Josh Stainer scoring 51. Banstead U11 A's won by 92 runs on Sunday against Old Whits.
