Firefighters were called to a car fire on Tuesday evening in a field off Park Lane East in Reigate.
It is believed the blaze was started deliberately.
Fire crews from Horley attended the scene, which was difficult to access, according to a crew member.
He added the car was "totally burnt out" by the time they could reach it, and they do not know how the car came to be left in the field.
This is the second suspicious car fire following a blaze in Holland Close in Redhill in the early hours of Monday morning, which Surrey Police is investigating.
The two incidents have not yet bee linked.
