Whyteleafe lost to Ryman League Premier Division outfit Dulwich Hamlet in a pre-season friendly on Saturday.
Leafe started well and went close in the tenth minute when a dipping 30 yard shot from Jason Thompson went just over the bar. Six minutes later Greg Andrews had a shot blocked, Simon Mensah fired the rebound into the side netting.
At the other end Sheikh Ceesay had a good half including a great tip over from Emilliano Hysi in the 18th minute. He then saved a 20th minute penalty from Lewis Gonsalves after Nyren Clunis was brought down.
Andrews had another good shot saved in the 27th minute At the other end Louis Hollingsworth made a brilliant defensive header on the line to stop a good effort from Abdul Mansaray.
All of the goals came in the second half with both sides making several changes at or just after the break. Michael White coming on to take over in the Leafe goal having a half he will hope to forget. He was beaten at the near post in the 51st minute by a 25 yard shot from Xavier Vidal then another error allowed Ashley Robinson to beat him at the near post in the 54th minute.
Andrews pulled one back quickly for Leafe in the 56th minute when a Thompson corner was deflected towards him and his header found the top corner of the net.
Leafe had a good spell and came close to equalling, but the game went out of reach in the 71st minute when another penalty was awarded, this time Ashlew Care converted it. Robinson then added a fourth with another long range shot in the 76th minute.
Shawn Lyle thought he had got a consolation goal in the 89th minute but he was ruled offside.
