A "FANTASTIC" teacher made the final three for a national award.
Dan Quinton, head of science and head of biology at Caterham School, was a finalist in the School Biology Teacher of the Year Award.
It was organised by the national Society of Biology, whose citation read that Mr Quinton "is a fantastic teacher who makes a real difference to his students' learning and to the work of his colleagues in the science department".
Headmaster Julian Thomas said Mr Quinton is an outstanding teacher who inspires his students.
