TEMPORARY bollards installed in Redhill town centre to allow drivers to prepare for the new two-way system have been knocked down.
The red poles separating the two lanes in Queensway were installed yesterday (Thursday) are to act as visual reminders as well as physical barriers to help motorists get used to the new system.
But just 24 hours after being put in, a couple are already lying in the road,
Up until February 14, the road will be reduced to one lane using the one-way system. On that night, the two-way system will be put in place.
The switch has been timed to coincide with the school holidays when there is generally less traffic on the roads.
