"TEAMS will have to take us seriously now," was manager Mike Maher's warning after the new-look Redhill strike-force showed just what they are capable of – putting five goals past Corinthian-Casuals.
After avoiding relegation thanks to a reprieve last season, the Lobsters have endured another difficult start in the Ryman League Division One South but Maher has rung the changes adding striker Alex Teniola, from Tonbridge Angels, and midfielder Leo Mazzone, from Ebbsfleet United, to an already strong attacking unit.
And the Lobsters boss is confident he now has one of the best forward lines in the league at his disposal.
"We have some difficult players going forward," Maher said. "We are as dangerous as any team in the league going forward, now we just need to work on shoring up the defence.
"Teams will have to take us seriously now because we have some difficult players with pedigree at higher levels."
After stuttering form in the last few month, with many matches postponed, Maher was delighted to see his side beat Corinthian-Casuals 5-1 away on Saturday, admitting everything "clicked".
"We didn't play much different than the game against Worthing the week before but whereas in that game everything went against us, this time everything seemed to fall for us," he said.
"After the first ten minutes everything clicked together and we looked strong and determined. There was a great spirit in the changing room."
The win moved Redhill up to third from bottom and Maher is hoping they can build on that result as they host Hythe Town, the side directly above them in the table, on Saturday.
"It gives us a chance to narrow the gap on them but they are a good side with good players" he said.
"It's a big game for both sides but they will have to worry about us as much as we will have to worry about them."
