FARLEIGH Rovers got back on the title trail in comfortable style.

Despite a three-week break, following their 3-0 defeat of championship rivals AFC Croydon Athletic, Barry Regelous' pacesetters overcame the odds yet again to beat another side under new management.

Foxes avenged September's 4-0 defeat at Anstey Road in style, despite being without injured goalkeeper Andrew Osei and suspended Tim Moffatt and Martin Smith.

The deadlock was broken after only seven minutes when Jamie Jagdeo shot home at the near post from Dan Canning's cross.

Leading scorer Javaun Henry made it 2-0 after 25 minutes, firing past George Burton after Liam Neaves' right-wing corner was back-heeled across goal at the far post by Adam Cassim.

Success was assured by half-time after debutant striker Karl Parker shot home following Danny Clayton's astute pass.

The visitors claimed that Parker's effort had been cleared off the line, but referee Roger Wells allowed the goal to stand.

Captain Cassim saw his 68th-minute header rebound to safety off the crossbar, underlining the hosts' dominance, with Joe Chandler outstanding in midfield.

On Saturday, Foxes visit Sandhurst Town, at Bottom Meadow, in another crucial contest.
