HOCKEY: Old Reigatians were well beaten by a strong Surbiton Academy side.
The hosts were on the front foot throughout the first half but good keeping from Tijmen Schel kept the score down to 2-0 at the break.
The second half went more Surbiton's way, but Old Reigatians scored twice from a drag-flick into the bottom corner by Matt Bushaway and then a cracking shot from Terry Skeet.
In Surrey Open League Division Two, Old Reigatians II stayed off the bottom thanks to a 1-0 win over Woking V.
Their first win since October was secured by a second-half goal from David Loft after good work by Jack Austin and Ali Hales.
And in Surrey Open League Division Five, ORs III went down to a 4-1 defeat at Chertsey Thames Valley.
David Nelson scored the goal, which made it 1-1 at half-time, but Valley were too good after the break with the visitors suffering two injuries.
