AN AWARD-WINNING businesswoman has launched a discount card which will benefit a Redhill-based charity.
Louise Humphryes, who lives in Slines Oak Road, Woldingham, formed Supermum Surrey in 2013, which won a Mums and Business award last summer.
It now boasts more than 4,400 members – from cake bakers to photographers – who advertise their small businesses and network with one another.
The Supermum Surrey discount card enables people to get discounts from businesses across Surrey.
Louise has chosen charity Stripey Stork to receive £2 for each card purchased (recommended retail price £12.99).
More than 160 members have signed up to the scheme so far with more than 70 discounts available.
Stripey Stork is run by a group of local mums who collect pre-loved baby items (equipment, clothes, furniture, and toys) and distribute them to families in need in the Reigate and Banstead borough.
Mrs Humphryes said: "The interest so far is really positive.
"I am confident we will be in a position to donate an ongoing sizeable amount to this worthwhile charity and help them reach their goals of supporting families in need."
