A FLOOD warning has been issued to residents and businesses living along stretches of the River Thames at Walton.
The Environment Agency warned The River Thames at Walton-on-Thames including Desborough Island, Walton Bridge and Elmbridge Leisure Centre in Waterside Drive is at risk of flooding.
The Agency, who issued the warning yesterday (December 27) at 1.33pm, said recent rainfall meant river levels were continuing to rise slowly, putting homes and buildings at risk of flooding.
River levels are expect to be higher than they were in November, but lower than levels seen in January 2003.
A further flood warning remains in place for River Thames at Sunbury from Walton Bridge to Kenton Court Meadows  - including Wheatley'sEyot and Sunbury Lock and areas to the north of the Thames including Longwood Business Park and Kempton Park Race Course.
Properties close to the river in Parke Road, Willow Way, The Creek, Felix Lane and Fordbridge Road face potential flooding, according to the latest Environment Agency report issued yesterday (December 27) at 8.25pm.
