A NINE-YEAR-OLD raised £160 for charity by busking in St Martin's Walk, Dorking.
French horn player David Hamer performed carols while raising money for BBC Radio 4's Christmas appeal on Sunday.
David's mother, Fiona Harrison, said: "He won the hearts and goodwill of many passers-by.
"David played Christmas carols on his horn, creating a festive atmosphere and is absolutely delighted with the sum of money he raised for the appeal. We had no idea that it would be possible for him to raise so much for the charity and it would be really lovely to thank everyone who gave so generously.
"He would like to thank the generosity and kindness of all those who contributed."
