A MAN has died and another suffered serious head injuries after becoming trapped under a metal door at Guildford's entertainment centre G Live.
Guildford fire crews spent more than an hour freeing the men at the London Road venue, at around 11.45am on Saturday, and Surrey Police also attended.
Paramedics treated one man for serious leg injuries but he was declared dead at the scene. The other man was taken by ambulance to St George's Hospital, Tooting, with serious head injuries.
Police are still investigating the incident and The Health and Safety Executive has been informed of the death.
A statement on the G Live website said: "Following a serious incident at G Live during the preparations for the Fisherman's Friends concert on Saturday, and the Seann Walsh show tonight have been cancelled. G Live staff will be in contact with all ticket buyers again next week with further information regarding refunds."
