Warwick Davis has given his support to friend Ricky Gervais' idea of bringing out an album.
Speaking about his pal's plans to storm the charts as his comic creation David Brent, the actor, who attended City of London Freemen's School in Ashtead said: "Whatever Ricky turns his hand to is successful and very well done.
"It's kind of where he started but I'm sure, knowing Ricky, he won't be taking it entirely seriously.
"Of course I'll be listening to it."
Gervais is currently considering releasing songs from his YouTube series Learn Guitar with David Brent, in which the self-obsessed character teaches his fans to play songs of his own creation.
