A PROPOSAL to build 34 homes on green-belt land was refused by councillors tonight.
Developer Paul Hunt has already seen two bids to build on the land, at Kiln Lane in Brockham, refused, and an appeal for the first plan was dismissed by a Government inspector in May.
Now Mole Valley District councillors have rejected the latest plan– which uses about half of the five-acre site and is for ten fewer homes than the previous plan.
In recommending refusal, council officers wrote that "the proposal would be inappropriate development, harmful to the green belt and contrary to its purposes".
