A DANCE school owner has met one of her ballet idols.
Katie Carter runs her babyballet dance school out of Caterham United Reformed Church at Queens Park Pavilion in Caterham, and at Hamsey Green Children's Centre.
And on May 31 she met celebrated ballet dancer Wayne Sleep – who has danced alongside the likes of Princess Diana and Rudolf Nureyev.
Mr Sleep presented Channel 4's Big Ballet documentary, which Mrs Carter featured in.
And last month he was the guest speaker at babyballet's conference in Yorkshire.
Mrs Carter said: "I idolise Wayne Sleep and was star struck. He spoke from the heart and inspired us all, but it was dancing with him that really made my day."
Mrs Carter set up babyballet Caterham and Warlingham in September 2013 and now has more than 100 pupils.
It offers classes for youngsters from six months to six years old.
